The Bay Area Digital Arts (BADA) Building located on the campus of San Lorenzo High School is a cutting edge full production digital arts studio and post-production editing facility. The building provides high school students the opportunity to learn, through experience, about careers in the digital arts and entertainment fields. The building houses a 3,000-square-foot sound stage supported by a production control room, an audio control room, a voiceover and ADR recording studio, an editing classroom, private editing suites, and production offices.
The building represents a unique departure from a traditional K-12 classroom with an HVAC system design more commonly found in commercial and industrial markets. The Syserco installed, District standard Alerton EMS front-end enables the San Lorenzo USD maintenance staff to effectively operate this digital production facility at peak performance levels.
While the HVAC systems are more complex than District staff are accustomed to, Syserco designed the highly customized Alerton graphical user interface to ensure ease of use for staff to control the building. With easy to use equipment and technologies, the District is able to efficiently operate this unique building while conserving energy and minimizing costs.
