Salesforce Tower, the tallest building west of the Mississippi, is a 61 story, 1,400,000 square foot Class A Office Building located in the “South of Market” district in San Francisco. Syserco was selected as the controls partner for the design and construction of this tower to deliver a highly integrated controls system capable of controlling and monitoring the complex HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems for the entire building all from a single workstation while optimizing tenant comfort and minimizing energy consumption.
The project includes control of over 120 experimental “Tri-Path” air handlers, a large chiller plant, a heating plant, specialty AHUs, decoupled heat exchangers, and 24x7 critical computer room units. The highly integrated system also includes seamless communication and single seat control of the towers’ lighting, electrical distribution, sub metering, generator, grey water, black water, and plumbing systems via open protocols.
Since its construction, Salesforce Tower has won awards and recognitions for its efficiency. Noted for its focus on occupant health, sustainability, structural efficiency, and integration with the surrounding urban habitat, Salesforce Tower was the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s 2019 Best Tall Building Worldwide.
