560 Mission Street is a 31 story, 667,782 square foot Class A office building located in the “South of Market” district in San Francisco. In addition to typical office uses this facility houses mission critical 24x7 data centers for high-profile Wall Street firms, trading desks, and other critical business functions.
Due to the nature of work performed at 560 Mission, the owner and engineer had exacting criteria to meet when choosing an HVAC controls solution. A robust and truly open protocol system was needed. Delivery of this system by a controls contractor that could support such a large installation and integrate with multiple pieces of equipment was another key factor in selecting a controls partner. The construction team chose Syserco to provide a BACnet based Alerton solutions that supported these needs and maintained occupant comfort and satisfaction, a critical point for the building’s elite tenants.
The project included control of a large chiller plant with 3 Chillers and 2 Towers, a Heating Plant, 33 Floor by Floor AHUs, over 700 VAV zones and 24x7 critical computer room units. Specialized BAS functions implemented in this building include web-based access, floor by floor energy usage monitoring, remote e-mail based alarm annunciation and enhanced alarming and reporting.
