The Student Services Center at Las Positas College serves as the hub of on-campus student culture and life. The new Center features an environmentally conscious design aimed at reducing energy usage, cutting energy costs, and lowering the College’s carbon footprint.
To control and monitor the extensive mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems installed at the Student Services Center, the district chose to extend their existing Alerton EMS solution. This facility uses multiple advanced mechanical system technologies to condition the spaces, including chilled beams with space temperature and relative humidity control.
Syserco’s management of the project and the Alerton BACnet System’s control and monitoring of the building helped the project team to achieve LEED Platinum Certification, the highest certification awarded to buildings for improved environmental quality, saved energy, resources, and lower operating costs.
