Syserco launches their very own March Madness fundraiser with a month long Free Throw Challenge and a March Madness Tournament for the Syserco team.
Throughout the month of March, each Syserco Colleague is eligible to make 15 free throw baskets. For each basket made, Syserco donates $3.00, to a charity of choice chosen by the Winners of the Men and Women’s Free Throw Challenge. Twenty-six men and nine women participated in the Free Throw Contest. This year, Syserco totaled 213 baskets! The Championship Winners of the Free Throw Challenge were Karen Friesen, totaling 12 out of 15 baskets, and Rogelio Murillo, with a total of 13 out of 15 baskets made.
In the Finals, March 18th, Syserco rallied for the Annual March Madness Tournament. Colleagues practiced day in and day out to win bragging rights and trophies. This year trophies went to Syserco’s Sharp Shooters - Three Point Shoot Champion, Luke Penner, with an unbelievable 16 baskets in 2 minutes and The Ultimate Slam Dunk and Best Lay Up Champion, Juan Silva. Syserco’s Basketball Tournament Champion trophy went to Team “Tres Los Compadres” featuring Luke Penner, Juan Silva, Wayne Chang, and Carlos Marquez.
With everyone’s hard work and participation, Syserco is proud to have raised a total of $639 for the chosen charity, The American Cancer Society.
What an amazing turnout this was! Syserco expects 2017 March Madness Fundraiser and Tournament to be even bigger and better!
