STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. These will be the focus at Hayward Unified School District’s STEAM buildings at their three high school campuses. With flexible indoor and outdoor learning spaces, students and teachers will be free to implement new styles of learning in the five core disciplines.
The STEAM buildings are made possible by the 2014 passing of Measure L in the City of Hayward, providing $229 million for district-wide improvements.
In partnership with Balfour Beatty, Bay City Mechanical, Vanir and the District, the STEAM buildings are expected achieve LEED Gold Certification from the United States Green Building Council.
